Esteem-192cRuth Wishengrad

is a vibrant singer and songwriter. She’s passionate about the benefits of positive thinking and helping others feel positive and empowered.  Ruth shares this through her songs.

Ruth holds a Masters in Education and has been teaching, training and mentoring individuals for over 25 years. She is dedicated to the study of personal development, and has been trained and mentored by some of the greatest leaders in the field: Bob Proctor, Mary Morrissey, Gay Hendricks and Peggy McColl. Ruth is a firm believer that changes occur rapidly when focus is directed towards positive feelings in the body, because when you feel success in your body, you feel it in your life!

For years, Ruth would get song lyrics stuck in her head. They would continue to repeat over and over until she wrote them down and acknowledged the message of the lyric. Since we all learn through repetition and application she got the idea to “change her tune” by singing and repeating thoughts she wanted to hear and that’s how Songs to Change Your Tune™ was born.

Originally from Boston, Ruth now lives in California. She shares her music with the goal of activating her listeners’ positive emotions.

About Her Music

Have you ever heard the saying: “You can’t Think your way into right acting, but You can Act your way into right thinking”?

Ruth is a true believer that if you feel it in your body, you will feel it in your life. Sometimes we need to physically act our way into the positive mindset that we desire, rather than thinking our way into it. Songs to Change Your Tune™ are unique in that they combine visual, auditory and kinesthetic modalities to fully activate every fiber of your being.

Ruth’s songs are positive affirmations that are fun, invigorating and exciting.

The songs are short and they’re easy to remember!

They are like a jingle–an AffirmaJingle!

The repetition in the songs helps strengthen the neural pathways that create new behavior. So you’re positively changing your brain chemistry every time you listen, sing and move your body to Songs to Change Your Tune™!

And Ruth’s music is for the young and old alike!

Ruth works in a movement class twice a week with adults who have Parkinson’s disease — they’re excited to sing the songs because it feels good! One gentleman actually keeps some of Ruth’s lyrics laminated in his pocket. Another sings “Confidence” to himself to help him swallow his medications.

It just goes to show, you’re never too young or too old to enjoy Songs to Change Your Tune™!

“Thanks for the songs, they are simple and fun for kids but powerful enough for adults. When I listened to the first song, it gave me energy and affirmation to go on with my daily challenges.”
~Dora L., who lives with Parkinson’s
